Bill Gates bats for a better condom
Bill Gates is again in the headlines -- but not for launching a new gadget or software, or for his vision of the road ahead. The Microsoft founder and former world's richest man is in the news for his challenge to investors to reinvent the condom. Apparently, Gates is concerned that despite their proven ability to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy, condoms are still not as widely used as they ought to be because they are "not pleasurable enough." In a statement, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation said "condoms have been in use for about 400 years, yet they have undergone very little technological improvement in the past 50 years.
